The porch roof leaks in heavy downpours. Currently the roof is made from a steel sheet supported on a plywood board and it slopes to drain into the main eaves gutter of the house. We want to change the way the porch roof drains. We want to install a box gutter directly under the existing eaves gutter and drain the porch roof into the box gutter. The new box gutter would drain directly to the outside (no downpipe needed). This will require removing some of the bricks which form a parapet around the porch roof. We want to leave the existing porch roof frame and modify it to suit the new system.
