There is a hole in the ceiling in my bedroom which has been there for as long as I lived here, 6 months. During prolonged or heavy rain it leaks water, maybe one drop every 5 seconds. At this point I am more concerned about damage to the house than aesthetics, ie find source of leak and repair. The hole in the ceiling can stay or can be patched roughly.
I am also interested in mouse-proofing the roof, or at least finding and/or closing some of the entry points, so possibly get this done at the same time.
