The idea of clashing cultures and new experiences are reflected in this palette. A real break with tradition, Digital Nomad embraces contrasting colours and eclectic patterns to show-stopping effect. For the globe-trotter, digital or otherwise.
Mineral and metal colours are combined with pastels and rich earth tones to create a balanced, grounded palette that is also decidedly modern. Precious elementals also acknowledges the huge popularity of geometric, faceted shapes that will continue into 2014. Get in touch with the elements without leaving the house.
During the late 20th century, just as we were starting to get our heads around the digital revolution that would change the world, these colourful, energetic and quirky combinations were being explored - inspired by icons from the '50s. Now, in 2014 there's a sense that we're on the edge of yet another world-changing epoch. Maybe it's time to look to the past to see what the future has in store.
