INSPIRED BY THE COLOUR-LOVING CULTURES IN INDIA, AFRICA AND MOROCCO, DIGITAL NOMAD IS VIBRANT AND ADVENTUROUS.

Thanks to the digital revolution, our world is smaller and more connected than ever, so it figures that we would start to draw inspiration from exotic locations that many of us now have the opportunity to visit (or at the very least admire from our laptop screens).

The idea of clashing cultures and new experiences are reflected in this palette. A real break with tradition, Digital Nomad embraces contrasting colours and eclectic patterns to show-stopping effect. For the globe-trotter, digital or otherwise.

AS WE MOVE TOWARDS A WORLD MORE DETACHED FROM NATURE, PRECIOUS ELEMENTALS RESPONDS BY OFFERING A PALETTE REFLECTING NATURAL TONES AND GEOMETRIC FORMS.

Mineral and metal colours are combined with pastels and rich earth tones to create a balanced, grounded palette that is also decidedly modern. Precious elementals also acknowledges the huge popularity of geometric, faceted shapes that will continue into 2014. Get in touch with the elements without leaving the house.

SOMETIMES YOU CAN LEARN A LOT ABOUT THE FUTURE BY LOOKING TO THE PAST. ACCORDING TO THESE RETRO VISIONARIES, THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT.

During the late 20th century, just as we were starting to get our heads around the digital revolution that would change the world, these colourful, energetic and quirky combinations were being explored - inspired by icons from the '50s. Now, in 2014 there's a sense that we're on the edge of yet another world-changing epoch. Maybe it's time to look to the past to see what the future has in store. If this palette is anything to go by, that future looks bright.

THE ROMANTIC SPIRITS DRAW ON THE GLAMOUR AND ROMANTICISM OF THE PAST. AFTER YEARS OF UNCERTAINTY AND AUSTERITY, ISN'T IT TIME TO RELIGHT THE FALME OF ROMANCE?

A modern take on various periods-past which are renowned for glamour and romanticism. Paint and finishes that hint at history and tradition, such as texture and patinas, are juxtaposed against moody, brooding colours. Through the octopus ink, it's clear this luxe and rich palette would make any home feel like a sanctuary. A welcome counter to our technology-dominated and often sterile reality.
