Cool Table Ideas
Would you believe that the Rubik’s cube design would make a good table idea? Double it up as a cabinet by putting game boards and the little actual Rubik’s cube inside. Use this fancy table as a stand to hold your snacks while playing video games.
Another idea is to have a mini Nintendo game controller tucked under your crystal tabletop. It would never fail to trigger your game face on.
This Wii bookshelf can easily hold your board games for you. You can stuff anything inside – the video game controllers, CDs (if you still use one) and your other game paraphernalias.
If you have a space too small for a billiard and a ping pong table, then why not merge the two? Get a billiard table and just add the ping pong table surface on top. Now you can choose which to play depending on your mood.
You no longer need a pen and paper every time you play board games when you have a game chalk table. All you need is chalk and eraser. Paint the surface of the table with chalk board paint so you could easily write your scores on the table’s surface.
Video game-inspired Wall Decors
Transform your game room walls into a screenshot of your favorite video game! The Pac Man would be a classic example.
Decorate Centipede Pong Atari wall decals on your walls.
If you’re too fond of words, create a Scrabble wall décor. Spell out a quote or a bunch of words that would best describe what the game room is all about.
And who could forget Super Mario? Make the spirit of the classic video game alive by having Mario icons on wall design posters. Mix up the design as if you’re on a mission to fix them to save the princess.
Game Sound Enhancers
Deaden the sound waves and remove all the echoes. Your video game sounds should be at its best quality. Fill the room with furniture, beds, blankets, pillows, rugs. Just throw in some soft things. It’ll make the sound a whole lot better. Start with a video-designed rug.
As for the throw pillows, you can easily DIY your way to game controller designs.
Game Lights
Each detail contributes to the overall room ambiance. For your light switch, you could have these push buttons light cover. Reminds you of the arcade when you need to turn the lights on.
Now that you have taken care of the sounds, you need to tweak with the lights to perfect the mood. A dim game room is more like it. This Tetris block lights would be an enough light source in your room.
Or you could install LED lights beneath the chairs for some cool effects.
