We have a semi in the North Sydney area that has original windows. They are drafty, not very secure and do not provide much in the way of noise reduction. We have two fixed windows and two opening windows in the front of the house and two single hung windows along the side of the house. We are debating on swapping all of the windows out or retrofitting them with additional glazing or similar product. Since our house is semi-historic, we need to use wood windows that wouldn't compromise the look and feel of the house.
