Dan requested 3 quotes from Window Professionals in North Melbourne
My residence in North Melbourne was broken into late last year. Two separate windows have been damaged in the process.
The laundry window (1200 x 1200 cm) has been extensively damaged on two sides of the surrounding framework and the sash will definitely need to be replaced as it is beyond repair. A electrical ventilator will have to be reinstalled in a new window unless the existing window (4 panes) can be repaired (internal damage) and reinstalled.
The kitchen window (1300 x 1200 cm) has also been damaged. The window frame is now eschew as a result of being jemmied and cannot be wound back into the window framework. I am of the opinion that a new window (4 panes) will have to be installed. Seemingly, the window sash's integrity (its 'squareness') has been maintained.
A quote is sought as per requirements above including the complete removal of a window sash (laundry) and window (kitchen) with the installation of facsimile (style, material, paint, int & ext architrave, hinges, winder etc). Removal of debris is to be included in the quote.
The above is subject to further clarification and discussion before submitting a formal quote. Pictures available. Insurance claim a possibility
