Order and install non-opening aluminium frame, remove wooden frame and old aircond box. Window cavity measures 1600 mm x 890 mm, current glass measures 1540 mm x 825 mm.
This is a brick 1970s unit. Window is on 1st floor, would prefer if you have own cherry-picker / scaffolding so am not paying extra for hire (unless you can do me a good deal on that). It's over a communal driveway, so a cherry-picker may be best option for get-in get-out faster action.
