I am looking to obtain a quote for waterproofing for a planter box on my balcony. The planter box is ~20 metres square.
A defect report has indicated that my planter box has a leak and is leaking into the apartment on the ground floor (I’m on the 2nd floor) causing significant water damage. The defect report indicated that an inadequate membrane had been used. I have been told that a product called New Flex should have been used.
The planter box has plants in it currently but my brother in law who is a landscaper will be removing the plants and re-planting after the water-proofing has been done.
I will require a certificate of guarantee to enable the ground floor to make a claim through their home and contents for the repairs once the leak is fixed. I will not be able to make a claim hence looking to do this as cost effectively as possible
