Brick Victorian needs waterproofing due to ageing mortar on parapet

Ageing brick mortar on parapet wall in living room has led to water seeping through to ceiling. Ceiling is covered by insurance but waterproofing brick work needs to be covered by us. We have been recommended to have some sort metal capping placed over the parapet(s) to achieve this but would be open to quotes/suggestions.
