Since removing my old floorboards and replacing with new floorboards the smell of damp has appeared. It is very strong at times, especially when the house is closed up. At first I thought it was just the concrete slab smell when the boards were up, but the smell has not gone away. The concern is my neighbour has the same problem but she has carpets (not as strong a smell). I live in a block of units of 8 (1 up 1 down). Need someone to assess whether it is damp, and if it can be removed.
