3 seater leather/vinyl sofa needs new inserts and repairing

We have a leather/vinyl 3 seater sofa. the back of the cushions are starting if not already cracked and ripped, obviously where the vinyl part is. where it has cracked a vulgar smell has got into the insert and therefore the insert needs replacing as well as the cracked vinyl needing to be repaired. the cushions are fixed to the sofa so is it cheaper to replace the cushions and have individual ones or just repair the rips and replace the inserts?
