Above the front door is a small plastic box which appears to be the first point at which the phone line comes in from the street. As my phone line has a very poor connection I had a look at the box and noticed that it was open, looked very old, and that the wire going into it from the street was cracked with age and the internal wiring was exposed. I need this box replaced and reconnected to the wiring going to the internal phone socket.
