6 STRUCTURAL STEEL & METALWORKER
- 6.1 SCOPE; Supply and fix steelwork as shown and specified in Drawings.
- 6.2 Supply and fix Steel in compliance with the following Standards
- AS 1250 Steel Structures Code
- AS 1111 ISO metric hexagon Bolts snd Screws
- AS 1131 Dimensions of Hot Rolled Structural Steel Sections
- AS 1161 Structural Steel Hollow Sections
- AS 1554 Structural Steel Welding Code
- AS K108 Metal Priming Paint, anti corrosive
- 6.3 Prepare and submit for inspection 2 copies of shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication of steel.
- 6.4 Verify all dimensions and levels on site.
- 6.5 All cuts, welds and holes to be completed prior to application of zinc chromate primer.
- 6.6 Fabricate and install columns and main beam to eng spec and architectural dimensions, verifying all dimensions on site. Shop drill allowing for bolts and services access.
- 6.7 Allow to prime and paint exposed members ; specifically cantileverd sunshade support members.

- Frame is scheduled to start in December.
