Exterior balustrade replacement needed

We have 13 stairs up to our front door and the existing timber balustrade is rotten and needs demolishing and replacement. We'd like a slightly simpler design than what is currently installed. If timber, also need a quote for fully painted/stained vs. us DIY after the balustrade has been installed. We're open to metal/cabled balustrade as well, but nothing too fancy. We have photos of existing stairs if needed via email. Ready to start in next 2-8 weeks.
