This contact is on behalf of the victorian blind cricket association. we are planning to erect some kind of shade structure and perhaps bench seating for a viewing area along one of our cricket... This contact is on behalf of the victorian blind cricket association. we are planning to erect some kind of shade structure and perhaps bench seating for a viewing area along one of our cricket grounds. this is a terraced area, and we need to submit some designs to vision australia who own our grounds for their approval prior to commencement. our aim is also to ascertain if we require any planning permits etc. for the job to proceed, as well as looking at cost to enable us to budget for the job. our plan is to make the area into a viewing and social area, and is planned to be a perpetual memorial to one of our past blind cricketers. we invisage perhaps a wooden or metal structure with shade mesh, or sails, and bench seating as well as a safety rail along the front of the terrace to avoid viewers from falling over the edge of the terrace. the area can be viewed by arrangement.
