Home alarm need servicing. 3 zones on key pad are flashing all the time.

fairly new system installed just over 15 months ago. some is always home so does not get used. remote control to open garage door and front gate. it is at my mother's house. yesterday she noticed that number 1,3,5 (i think, anyway 3 zones) on the key pad are
flashing. she does not have the pin code. she was wondering if the alarm could be de-activated but still be able to use the remote to open the front gate. if not then just service the system and maybe reset with new pin number. she does have the manual.
