We would like to install Leaf Safe Guttering on our home. We will consult with you on guttering that we plan to purchase to ensure that we order what you require. We are just looking for you to:
1. Clean the current guttering and ensure all downpipes are clear and there are no blockages.
2. Install the Leaf Safe Guttering. (This is something that sits on top of the existing guttering as a 'gutter guard'). The house is 2 years old, so existing gutters will be fine to use.

The instructions for installation are as follows:
All guttering has to be removed and lowered to allow for Leaf Safe system to be fitted underneath the existing roof. If guttering is suitable and in good condition, it can be cleaned and re-used in conjunction with Leaf Safe Brackets and capping without removing existing roof.
All installation preparation is carried out on the ground as follows :-
- Gutter is measured and cut to required length with mitres, stop ends, down pipe outlets, riveted and sealed. A
- Brackets are set out and riveted to gutter at 1.2 centres allowing for 2.4 capping lengths from mitres B
Gutter is then lifted into place on facia allowing 10mm space between top bracket and outside edge of roof C. (This allows for capping to be positioned later) Outer / end brackets are then temporarily screwed to fascia. Spirit level is positioned inside gutter to check fall to down pipes. Gutter is then adjusted to suit. Remaining brackets D are screwed into position.
Capping slid into place and screwed to facia.
Variations may occur in the width E of guttering and the leading rolled edge F, depending on different brands, styles or roll-formed machines used for manufacture.
Leaf Safe capping is based on using a gutter width of 135mm but can be used on gutter widths between 125mm and 145mm E. Brackets are riveted front and back to spread or compress the gutter cross section to suit the width of the bracket.
Before deciding on fixing method to be used - Shown detailed G or HJ test bracket in the gutter for fit G. If hook fits snuggly into rolled edge, determine height of bracket and using one of the rivet holes which best suites the rear of gutter height, drill gutter and fix bracket using one rivet only.
If above test fails use front and rear rivet method as follows:
- Bend up rolled edge with pliers and drill rivet hole into top approximately 5mm in from edge.
- Lay bracket flat and rivet to gutter - H
- Twist and stand up bracket, determine height, and using one of the rivet holes with best suits the rear of gutter height drill gutter and fix bracket using one rivet only - J
At this stage the gutter may appear to spread and be uneven. This will be corrected when the guttering and brackets are raised and screwed permanently to the fascia.
