i’m looking to get a quote for some restumping work at my house
it’s a 1955 weatherboard seems pretty level for most of the house – expect one corner (the kitchen) that has dropped a bit over the years
i had a guy come around who advised he would not replace the stumps just in the area where the house has dropped – he said he would only do the job if it was to replace all stumps (140 of them i think he said)
he said he’d send a quote but he never bothered – i guess as he realised i wouldn’t go ahead with doing the whole lot
i understand that just replacing 2 or 3 stumps won’t fix the issue as the row or two next to them will probably also need to get done – however most of the stumps are fine so i only want the corner section fixed
i’m not looking to raise the house back to be 100% level – i just want to raise it back as far as i can without causing issues and replacing only the necessary stumps to do the job
