We have only been in our current house for about a year and a half and in that time there have been a few spots where i've noticed movement/subsidence.
there is nothing major but mostly cracks in plaster around the tops of door corners.
i have spoken to a friend who is fairly handy and he advised that i get under the house and check for any signs of stress on the bearers or problems with the concrete stumps etc. on inspection it's clear that there have been issues with at least 2 concrete stumps as there is one with a single wedge and another with 2 wedges. these problem stumps correlate to the very same areas where i can see the cracks in the plaster appearing....
i would like a quote to replace these 2 concrete stumps. there is plenty clearance under the house and i can also provide photos of the actual 2 stumps to show the clearance height etc
