Kitchen brick wall removal / inspection

I want to renovate my kitchen. Before i do this i need to see if i can remove one of the walls. The wall is made of brick and could possibly be load bearing. So i want to first see if it can be removed, or removed and a beam installed in it's place. Or maybe i can't remove it at all. I have a unit above me and we are in an 20 year old building.
