I wish to create a large central doorway, up to about 2m width, in the existing wall between the kitchen and rumpus room to then be fitted with french doors or similar to vary the opening from small to wide depending on use. I believe the wall is load-bearing. The existing doorway which is at one end will need to be removed/filled in.
