Whirlpool frost free fridge stoppped working, internal light still works

i have a whirlpool refrigerator that stopped working the other day, model b28dmcswqn/wau. the internal light still comes on when you open the door. it is making no noise whatsoever, the compressor is not running and there are no clicking sounds or anything like that. it is also possible that it was tripping the house circuit breaker in the weeks leading up to this. does this sound repairable or should i just go out and buy a new fridge. thanks.
