Whirlpool Fridge requires repair, trips power

Our side by side whirlpool fridge is in need of repair. It tripped the power out initially, now, it will trp within 2 days of been on. You can only turn the power on at the main switch board after it trips out if the fridge is not plugged in. We have tried plugging the fridge into another plug and same problem.
