We just purchased new fridge and freezer door seals for our Westinghouse BJ4242-R. When unpacked the profiles of the seals looked right but they seemed to be harder and flatter (except at the corners). We installed them anyway thinking that once they were in they would "puff out". They didn't and there are gaps all round because the corner bits are thicker than the rest. I've tried to massage the seals but whilst there was some improvement there are still gaps. Did we miss something? Are you supposed to pump air into them somehow? Need advice/help as the applicance is not working properly.
