Fridge - short circuits electrical power points in apartment

I have a whirlpool fridge model b42dmcwqn/wau about 8 years old
this morning my electrical power points shorted, and i have isolated this to be the fridge. the fridge works fine when turned on, but short circuits in about 2-3 mins
the electrical switch motor in the fridge is providing feedback and is short circuiting and need to be replaced.
i am away this week and back on monday 11th so pls call me then to organise inspection.
