Whilst we are happy with the final product it tool a long time to get there. School holidays, illness and other family issues impacted on the time line due to being a small family business. Our bathrooms were sanded back and left in that state for over a month. At one stage we did not have a functioning kitchen and were forced to re-install old sink, oven etc to tide us over. To be fair, we also had a problem with the new sink not being what we ordered and the new cook top not being set up for bottled gas. We had to call tradesman back to fix pitting and chips in vanities, pooling around drain holes, kitchen drawer rubbing on benchtop overlay and glue splatter in kitchen. We had the kitchen benchtop done with a stone overlay. Now the problems are fixed the job looks very good. Doors and drawer fronts were replaced on vanities. Still finding over-splash from polishing product used on enamel in bathrooms. The overall experience was stressful for us as first time renovators. We chose the re-surfacing option as we wanted to keep existing vanities - they don't make them like that anymore. If we're still in this house when the vanities and kitchen need re-surfacing again we'll probably do the same thing but we'll be better prepared for the disruption. We recommend Ultimate Resurfacing on the understanding that they are a small family business.
