Bath shower screen - water splash sealing required

My bath shower screen is made out of 2 panels - fixed and swinging panel. There is a gap between these two panels which allows a lot of water getting on the floor. Also the bottom plastic protector on the swinging door is broken and needs a replacement. Could the gap be fixed with plastic protector as well? Or is there any other solution? Thank you Dagmar
