WANTED: small business owners who want to protect their productivity

Mike requested 3 quotes from Plumbers in Salisbury North

  What am I about?
My name is Mike Potter and I'm an "IT guy". I've been working within the industry for around 15 years as a generalist and have a strong set of knowledge around small business IT.
I have supported a wide client base for many years, mostly in a casual or knee jerk sense and but also I have been building valuable relationships with many business owners around Adelaide.

I listen to business owners during all phases of their IT adventures and I talk with business owners about all aspects of their IT, I make recommendations based on customer requirements and deliver effective IT solutions to all sorts of business, in all sorts of industires. Which is fine. Except. I also listen to business owners who come to me as a result of a bad experience previously with their IT. In some cases, business owners call me when they have a situation that they cant control themselves, and maybe their existing IT or IT provider has let them down, and in some occasions I deal with IT disasters.

I've dealt with business who have been attacked by hackers, malware, and by the latest round of scary stuff, ransomeware. All too often however, i deal with business that has experienced a total loss scenario. . I've helped business who have been effected by fire, and flood. actually, one of the most interesting IT disaster events i have encountered was when a water mains split open, in the road in front of an Adelaide business' head office and destroyed the entire building and it's contents from the inside out. How does one plan against something like that exactly? Theyve lost their business environment, potentially their data and their immediate IT productivity. In some situations there is much that can be done. But horribly, In too many situations, in regards to business IT, there is simply nothing that can be done. In these scenarios, this business not only cant open it's doors and run it's business. They suddenly fail to perform business critical functions, such as COLLECTING MONEY that is owed to the business, paying their suppliers, things such as payroll. In fact, on top of loosing their data, their critical business IP, they also loose their productivity. Now as someone who has dedicated his career to helping people, it just doesnt ever sit well with me when a business is forced to close, partly because they can not meet their compliance, cant collect money owed to them, cant operate their accounting system, and cant find a phone number. I dont like trying to piece together bits and pieces in and effort to rescue a business that even the best of insurance policies alone, simply cant rescue. I've had enough of sitting back and waiting for disaster to strike for small business owners.

Recently, I have become dis-satisfied enough to change everything about my work as an IT generalist. I have started taking control of the way in which I help people, so that I can make a real difference in my work and make a real difference for my clients. Since then I have created a new business, and I'm building something I believe is a very important AND TIMELY, shift in the way that small business manage their IT and the way that a business looks at their mission critical computers in particular.
