There appears to be a small leak near the electrical conncetion area on the hws and water has soaked the insulating material around the heating vessel and caused the outer matel container to swell at the seam. if the leak is repaired will the unit have a continued long life or am i better off replacing the whole unit. the hws is approx. 15 yrs old.
