Remove old gas line from BBQ

I have a small paved courtyard. Previously there was a gas bbq in place. Years ago, the bbq was removed and the gas line capped. Recently the bricks have been removed, and I'd like to tidy up the remaining gas line. It presently goes into the pavers. What are my options to tidy it up please?
