No gas to gas stove top

Oven/stove is a lofra, about 8 years old. The oven is electric, the stove cooktop is gas. The gas is not coming out of the cooktop. Had the gas company inspect that gas pressure at gas mains was correct. It was. The gas guy who came out reckons its probably the gas regulator at the back of the oven. Which is what i suspect because none of the gas cooktop elements are getting gas.
