Our house only has one downpipe that services the entire length of the house, during heavy rain events the gutter overflows, this is causing damage to eaves and fascias. I believe (just guessing)... I believe (just guessing) that a secondary downpipe installed halfway along the gutter length will solve the problem. I am happing to provide man power by digging trenches if need be (I assume the additional downpipe will need to be plumbed into the storm water system (about 5 metres away). It's possible the fascia board has rotted so this may need replacing too.
