Just moved in to this house. Started noticing foul odour from main bathroom - probably from the shower drain, but could also be from the bath drain or floor drain. Tried bicarb, vinegar and... Just moved in to this house. Started noticing foul odour from main bathroom - probably from the shower drain, but could also be from the bath drain or floor drain. Tried bicarb, vinegar and boiling water to flush it out a few times (down all drains). Helped a little, but odour comes back after awhile. The house is 25 years old and is a single story on concrete slab. The bathroom has been renovated within the last 5 years. The plumbing could have been replaced at the same time, but not sure. Not sure how much this type of work costs, so I have chosen the cheapest budget option - happy to pay more if necessary.
