Note: while the house is double-storey, upstairs is within the roof-line. Therefore, the heights of the guttering are roughly equivalent to that of a single-storey house and should only require a ladder. Approximate heights are:
- sides of house - up four metres
- front and rear sides of house - up to 3.1 metres

I am not impressed by Alcoil's lack of follow up at all. Despite their initial response to my advertisement, at no stage have they been in touch with me since. Interesting to note that another SC customer's feedback stated that they "were a bit slow" in their response. However, I think I have given them sufficient time to give me a quick and simple courtesy call to say there will be a delay in quoting me (had they have done that I would have been happy to wait a bit longer). The guttering replacement I advertised would have equated to a few thousand dollars of work in itself. I had also intended to ask for a quote on repairing the pointing of the roof tiles at the same time. So, all-in-all, I would say they have lost even more thousands of MY dollars of work. I will not recommend Alcoil to my friends and neighbours, who I know are also interested in getting their guttering done. Readers of this feedback might think I make this as an idle comment. However, when I receive good service I do recommend tradesmen. I especially like to support small businesses. As an example, I previously had two major bathroom renovations by a tradesman, who I found on SC. As a result of his professionalism and great work, my neighbours also gave him business to do their laundry, bathroom and potentially further work at their country home. It would be interesting to hear Alcoil's excuse.
