Have older-style brick 2 bedroom unit (30+ yrs old). Have had old gas heater removed from lounge-room wall leaving a hole. Now want the wooden decorative mantlepiece surrounding "fireplace" removed and holes repaired, ready for painting. Please note that the space inside the mantlepiece area is a textured surface, looks like bubbly concrete, require this to be smooth like the wall.
