Install 200 mm wide plasterboard back blocking loosely fitted between framing members to all ceiling joint for upstairs living room. The back blocks must be adhered using a plaser-based setting type adhesive/cement which then must be applied to the full face of the back block with a notching spreader to give 6 mm by 6 mm beads at approximately 20 mm centres. Note flexible adhesives must not be used. After the back blocking has dried and is secure, reinstate the cellulose fibre insulation; Remove access plaster/setting material from the existing ceiling joints and retape and reset joints to achieve a finish of no less than a level 4.
