Work started on 4/11/2009 after 5% deposit on signing of contract and a 30% on the day work commenced - where it should only be 5% by law - $30 000 job. George's initial contract requested the rest of the payments for all stages upfront, before progress was made. We didn't agree and he changed the contract after which we then awarded him the job. Progress payments were made as soon as stages were completed- as per our contract - contract available on request. We had 2 other quotes for this job. 1/02/2010 : We are now in week 10 (2 weeks Christmas New Year period excluded) of a 2-3 week contract. If any questions or issues arose, it was extremely difficult to get hold of George. The average is 4 days of emails and phone calls to mobile and office. 8/02/2010:Very long unexplained periods of inactivity lead to the job being incomplete after 11 weeks. In order to prevent short cuts being taken, we had to be on site everyday someone turned up for work. Good customer service ended after the quote was given in our case. Most work is done by subcontractors and there is no project manager visiting the site, so the job is just as good as the subcontractor you get . We are extremely disappointed in the low quality of work. We have to get other contractors to finish work and we are still in the process of fixing stuff ups.Wish I could upload photos here of the mistakes and stuff ups. Will take this up with service central. Will never use them again and will definitely not recommend them to anyone.
