We are looking for design input for upgrading a 9.5 x 7m main outdoor area. We have someone ready to do the work, and would like some design advice to plan the space. The area faces north, is used as a family space (BBQ, eating, lounge) with 2 small dogs, has sliding glazed doors opening onto it from the indoor dining, and is adjacent to a pool, and a smaller paved courtyard area. The upgrade has been prompted by deterioration & challenges with the existing ground surface and the boundary hedge trees requiring replanting, so we'd like to make the most of this window to review the design & materials.
