In a new estate in goodna, qld. need two retaining walls, one starts at 1600mm sloping to 1200mm and another starting at 1600mm sloping to 200mm. clay soil and requires drainage. would prefer timber retaining wall - have heard about "tiering" where a series of retaining walls are created to remove the need for engineering and certification. this is greatly appealing. however, depending on what your advice is, could have the wall engineered and certified.
