The home remains unprepared, due to issues with insurance builders. However, it still harbours a strong odour being that the insulation with soot was dumped inside the home by builders, and there was a tarp on the roof which was in place for 14 months, with water inevitably entering the roof cavity. I would like to conduct a Indoor Air Quality Test and Mould Inspection. I would also like to know whether you would suggest testing for any of the following being that the home did contain vinyl, combustibles, LP Gas Cylinders, cleaning agents etc. Phosgenes (due to the known presence of vinyl, plastics and other chemical containing chlorine were compromised) , Hydrogen Cyanide (due to insulation with soot, PVC pipes, synthetics being compromised), Sulphur trioxide/sulphuric acid mist, Dioxins/furans, PCB’s and PAHs, Formaldehyde, Ozone, Asbestos and synthetic mineral fibres, Silica, Respirable Dust, other toxic and hazardous substances, as well as anything else that you would suggest in order to isolate and hence finally address all issues this time. Furthermore, I also had a sample of dust tested at a university which showed elevated levels of Trace Elements, and with aspects such as ductwork being replaced, I am concerned about possible re-contamination. Home is based in Northcote.
