I have a 19th C iron hatstand which has 2 iron uprights that have been welded in the past to repair a break with 2 short reinforcing bars placed behind to protect. Unfortunately the welds have... Unfortunately the welds have snapped at the lower end of the bars. So the welds need to be ground off and refixed with 2 longer iron rods behind to stabilise the piece. This is in storage at Moore Park but can be removed to any workshop for repair
