Our freezer started playing up yesterday and I now don't know if its OK or not. It had an ice shelf form under the bottom drawer which was preventing the door from closing quite properly. We removed the ice, the door seals up fine but now the freezer makes a long loud hissing noise when the door closes. It had never iced up before and never hissed before. We do have another freezer and it seems to be freezing things better than the Westinghouse one is. We tested a loaf of bread and it was softening in the Westinghouse, just a little bit but certainly less frozen than the other freezer. The unit it is getting old and we just need to know if it's worthy of repair or not versus a new freezer.
