I have had a number electricians in the past who have come out and inspected the system and gone through the entire process to tell me thereafter that the system is working. Well you're wrong,... I have had a number electricians in the past who have come out and inspected the system and gone through the entire process to tell me thereafter that the system is working. Well you're wrong, the system isn't working and hasn't been working since March 2015. As I have the manual for the PVEdge Grid Connect series Inverter which is a PVE-2500. The Inverter in question is connected to the Solar Panels, and logically, there is a valid connection and the system cycles through by providing a stable connection; though in the last few days its been raining, cloudy and storm at times; therefore the indicator sits at 25% with a solid red. According to the manual, this states that the system is generating electricity and the indicator on the right side which is a small LCD panel; when compared to photos taken, the evidence backs up the statement. However, this is the part that things go wrong. At the end of the day, when night falls; the system eventually detects that there is no sunlight and therefore shuts down. The very next day, when there is some kind of light detection; the system wakes up and attempts to re-establish connection. The inverter FAILS to reconnect; it sits between 50 & 75% and just flashes. 75% | Flashing = Grid Check 50% | Flashing = Grid Fault It is only until I shut down the entire system and conduct a reboot; that the system provides me with a solid red for 25% for solar generation in the last few days of testing. As a result, the inverter system has lost its ability to automatically reconnect and therefore from this, it needs to be repaired. I'm not really at moment looking for a new Inverter. I would also prefer forms of communication as emails or SMS's as I have a mild case of Laryngitis. Thanks in advance.
