She went through this numerous times to make sure it was the washing machine. She then plugged a different appliance (hair dryer) into the socket to make sure it wasn't the socket and actually the washing machine and it worked fine so is certain it is the washing machine causing the problem. The washing machine s about 5 years old and is an "Ariston" brand
