The defect report indicated that an inadequate membrane had been used. I have been told that a product called New Flex should have been used. The planter box has plants in it currently but my brother in law who is a landscaper will be removing the plants and re-planting after the water-proofing has been done. I will require a certificate of guarantee to enable the ground floor to make a claim through their home and contents for the repairs once the leak is fixed. I will not be able to make a claim hence looking to do this as cost effectively as possible
