I would like to take advantage of the $1600 government grant to have new insulation put in. The house is 80 years old and has the original insulation in the ceiling however it has disintegrated... I would like to take advantage of the $1600 government grant to have new insulation put in. The house is 80 years old and has the original insulation in the ceiling however it has disintegrated and I don't believe it can be called insulation anymore. I am very conscious of the potential fire hazard of insulation and have halogen lights so looking for someone with experience in the area. at this stage i am planning for the work and looking for quotes to work it into my budget. i expect that i would like it done within the next 3 months depending on cost.
