Black slate floor tiles: cleaning job

We've just moved into a property with black slate floor tiles in the kitchen that had glue and paint all over after renovations. We attempted to clean the tiles with tile acid wash and one little stubborn spot with Meth Spirits (which successfully removed paint and glue on the surface) but this has raised the sealent to the surface and created a cloudy effect all over the tiles. The Meth area is full of a dry flaky sealant patch that we cannot remove, even after trying with an Alkaline solution as well. We need a professional tile cleaner to assess and clean the tiles as best as possible.
