How do I provide feedback on businesses?

Through your online account you can provide feedback on each provider that has responded to your job requests. You need to click on the specific job you want to provide feedback on, and use the questions at the bottom to provide feedback.

You can also view and edit all of the ratings you have already given.

When you provide feedback to businesses, they will be notified of this feedback. If you have a complaint, we always recommend that you give the business a chance to address your concerns before you post your comment online.

Give Service Central, the business concerned, and future customers feedback in the following three ways.

Did the business call you?

The first step in the process is to receive phonecalls to either provide a telephonic quote or arrange a time to meet and discuss the job. You can note whether the business has called you online, and also report how quickly they called you. You're also able to give comments that are sent to the business, and available online for the business's future customers to see. Service Central uses this information to work together with our registered businesses to provide the best possible service to our mutual customers. If the business has not contacted you within the promised 24 hours, you can also send a reminder to the business to contact you, as well as check (and soon change!) your contact details online.

Did the business send you a quote?

The second step is to receive your quotes (from however many businesses you requested). You can report that you've received your quote, how you received it and what your thoughts on the quote are. You're also able to give comments that are sent to the business, and available online for the business's future customers to see. Again, Service Central uses this information to work with our registered businesses to provide the best and most competitive quotes. If you've not yet received your quote as expected, you can also send a reminder to the business to follow up on sending that quote. Often these quotes are simply sent to the wrong email address, and a quick reminder is a great way to make sure both you and the business aren't missing out!

Was the quote successful, and how well was the work done?

Once you've chosen the business and had the work completed, you're able to complete the feedback and give the business a star rating, including comments on the workmanship. Both the comments and the star ratings will be available online for the business's future customers to see.
