Common mistakes when posting jobs
- Not enough information: Check the info that you've entered. The best way to make sure you've advertised the job well is to think about the questions the business will probably ask when they call.
- Categorising the job wrong: It can be tricky, but use the information in our library to help you understand what kind of business is likely to do your work. If you're not sure, enter OTHER and we'll have a look at it and categorise it correctly manually.
- Price range is unrealistic: we know that you'll often under-budget a job on the internet, but sometimes it's just too low and so businesses think they'll never get a fair price for their quality work.
- The time frame, marking jobs as urgent when they're not: Remember, the time frame is not talking about how soon you want a quote, it's how soon you want the work to be done!
- Wrong contact details: If businesses can't get hold of you, you'll never receive your requested quotes.
