My Vulcan Powerhouse ducted heating unit has stopped working. The unit is possibly 20 years old and is an outdoor unit. I am not sure what model the unit is, but it looks the same as this one on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWf0jN0_cEc . There appears to be a problem with the circuit board as only the red light turns on and all the other lights on the board flash dimly and make a low level clicking noise. I am trying to work out whether it is economic to repair the unit or simply to replace it.
Are you able to give me indicative costs for call out, plus your charges for replacing the circuit board- assuming that is the problem? Alternatively, just the maximum charges I would incur trying to repair the unit and whether in your experience it is worthwhile repairing this unit.
Also, if the unit is not repairable, your charges for replacing the old unit, assuming I independently source another unit.
